Common Questions About Dental Implants
What are dental implants?
Dental implants serve as prosthetic teeth roots when you have one or more missing teeth. These small posts are usually made from titanium, as this metal will fuse with your bone and become a sturdy base for replacement teeth. Dr. Bobier will insert implants into your jaw, then after the fusing and healing process is complete, your dentist can secure the replacement teeth to the implants.
How much do dental implants cost?
There is no way to quote an accurate price without first examining you and taking a set of X-rays. The cost for dental implants can vary greatly, depending on how many implants are needed, their location, and the condition of your jawbone. Once we have more information on your specific needs, we can develop a treatment plan and give you an accurate price.
Can dental implants be removed?
Although it is possible to remove dental implants from your jaw, in most cases there would never be a reason to do that. Once an implant has fused with your jawbone (called osseointegration), the implant can last for decades, perhaps even for the rest of your life. Implants don’t need any special care or maintenance to give you many years of reliable service.
